The Pleasantville boys basketball team will travel to Boone tonight to take on South Hamilton in the Class 2A District 8 finals.

The Trojans are coming off a 65-58 win over Roland-Story on the road Thursday night in a district semifinal game. Pleasantville will now take on the 17-4 Hawks who defeated West Central Valley 69-50 in their semifinals game. Pleasantville has been led in scoring this season by freshman Braylon Bingham and senior Dayson Leerhoff who are both averaging 20.7 points per game. On Thursday night the Trojans saw a dominating offensive performance from senior Trent Jolly who had 26 points. The winner of tonight’s game will advance to the substrate final with a chance to go to the state tournament.

Tonight’s district finals game in Boone is scheduled to tip off at 7:00 pm.
