Last week we told you about a couple of Knoxville Football Players that are planning to continue their careers at Central College. Noah Keefer and George Gilbert signed last week to attend Central and play for the Dutch Football Program starting next fall and for Keefer he tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he was sold on the fact that Central runs a similar offense that the Panthers have run for the past few seasons.

Keefer: “I just remember leaving my official visit and my parents even said they knew I would go there. Their offense is exactly the same as the offense we run so that will be super helpful.”

For Gilbert he saw what game day at Central College was all about and decided he wanted to be a part of that.

Gilbert: “Gameday visit came around and that environment and how they play football there, on the official visit and the overnight experience and talking to everyone there just sold me on wanting to play there.”

Keefer played quarterback for the Panthers and passed for 2,221 career yards and 17 touchdowns with his best season this past fall throwing for 914 yards and ten scores before his season was cut short with an injury. Gilbert adds he could play guard for the Dutch. Listen for a full interview with both Keefer and Gilbert on a future Today’s Lely Radio Sports Page on KNIA/KRLS.
