A few of the players on the floor Monday for the Dutch and Huskies made a similar trip to Indianola High School two years ago in a substate basketball final.

While those editions of the Pella and Winterset teams were rather senior heavy, three players appearing in that contest join different-looking squads this coming Monday evening. Luke Hardman scored seven points and Romon Hugan tallied a rebound and Sam Hensley of Winterset came in for a pair of quick defensive fouls in what was a 72-62 victory for the Huskies on February 28th, 2022. Those three play much larger roles heading into the rematch.

Hudson and Hayden Wilmes join Hensley in a trio averaging 13.9 points or more per game; Hardman averages 11.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest for the Dutch, while Hugan adds 6.3 points per game.

Coverage of the Pella/Winterset substate game in Class 3A begins at 6:30 Monday evening at Indianola High School on 92.1 KRLS. The contest has been moved back to a traditional time as a new neutral site was found for ADM/Bondurant.
