PCM senior Mark Bussan has been selected to play in the 2024 Iowa Shrine Bowl.
A tradition since 1972, the Iowa Shrine Bowl is an all-star football game recognizing senior athletes and coaches across the State of Iowa. Funds raised benefit Shriners’ Children and its mission to provide the best pediatric care anywhere, regardless of the families’ ability to pay. Bussan has been a force on the Mustangs offensive line for the last several seasons and helped anchor an impressive unit up front last season. Bussan, who was a first team all-state football selection, is a multi-sport athlete who also participates in basketball, track and field, and golf. The senior will continue his athletic career after graduation at the University of North Dakota where he will play football. Bussan spoke about what it means to him to be able to play football at the FCS level.
“It’s a pretty big deal and I’m really looking forward to going up to the next level. I feel like it’s pretty special for a guy like me coming from a small 2A town to go play in that division.”
The 2024 Iowa Shrine Bowl will be held at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls on July 20th.
