While 11 wins is not the goal of any high school basketball squad, that was the amount of times the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad walked off the court victorious this past season. The Panthers will also have to watch six seniors depart the program. Many of those six were vital to the Panthers’ success this season and Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he felt this year’s class was the first he established a real relationship with during his first three seasons as coach.
Ritchhart: “Anytime a season ends, the girls move on and the seniors move on. I’ve had these girls from sophomores through seniors and I feel like I have formed a really good relationship with them. They’re great kids and it’s sad to see them go.”
The Panthers season came to an end following a loss to top ranked Dallas Center-Grimes 56-44.
