U.S. Senator Joni Ernst answered questions in a town hall forum held at Pella High School Saturday.

Ernst discussed a range of topics, including federal funding for foreign labs–specifically in China, Medicare Part D reimbursement, energy policy, frustration over a recently failed bipartisan immigration reform bill, and funding for military allies–specifically Ukraine.

Ernst says that ultimately, both parties need to be held accountable for the gridlock ongoing in Washington D.C., and that the immigration draft would have made substantial progress toward a secure southern border.
