Applications for the 2024 Red Rock StartUP! Pitch Competition are due on Friday. 

The contest allows entrepreneurs and small business owners a chance to start a new business or expand their current business. Marion County Development Executive Director Carla Eysink says that they will select finalists to pitch their company at the live pitch contest on April 18th, and those businesses will get to work with a coach to help with their presentation.

“The first step in the process is you go to marioncountyiowa.com and fill out the application form, then we will take all of the companies that have applied and we will select somewhere between three to five businesses to actually come to the live pitch event on April 18. And then, between the time of being selected and the pitch event, we hook the businesses up with a coach that helps them refine their business pitch. So, that’s a great resource and learning curve for the businesses to help them pitch their business.”
