State Representative Brooke Boden voted in favor of the AEA reform that was passed by the Iowa House in February, after the initial bill was sent back for revisions. Boden tells KNIA News when the process started she had questions about where the failings were in the system, and part of the reason she voted in favor was there is now a task force to find out exactly what those are.

“Regardless of whether we waited or not, the federal government is going to be here in September, and they are going to be looking at this system and they are going to be asking us questions. So we have to say that we are going with an approach here to find those answers, to work together with the task force to make it better and for better test scores.”
