hwy-14-resurfacing-project

The Jasper County Roads Department announced last week that the Iowa Department of Transportation is planning a resurfacing project on Highway 14 in the coming months. The work will stretch from the city limits on the north side of Monroe to the city limits on the south side of Newton. A set date has not been determined for when the project will begin, but the Jasper County Roads Department indicated it could start as soon as late March or early April. The Iowa DOT has communicated that during the first stage of the project, Highway 14 will be closed to all traffic from the Monroe city limits to S 60th Ave. The Iowa DOT has also said that they hope to keep the intersections of Highway F-62 open during the project to allow traffic to cross, but all other intersections will be closed.
