It was for all intents and purposes, one of the best seasons of Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball in many years. The Saints’ 18 wins was the most since the 2006/2007 season when Melcher-Dallas went 20-3. The Saints captured their first Bluegrass Conference Tournament title since 1998. Coach Kelsey Goff tells KNIA Sports that may have been one of the top highlights of the season not just winning that game, but doing it on Mormon Trail’s home court.

Goff: “We got to play in their new gym and beat them on their home court. I hit some highlights that we have to travel to every game. We may have had more fans than the Mormon Trail girls had on their home court.”

Speaking of home court, the Saints will get to play at home for the first time in three seasons as their new gym will be ready by the time the basketball season comes around in November.
