Carousel Theatre in Indianola is beginning their next performance later this week, Death of a Salesman. Alex Lindsley with Carousel Theatre tells KNIA News Death of a Salesman is a big challenge for the local cast and crew, and there has been a lot of small adjustments and putting their own thoughts and motivations into the rehearsals with the actors going back and forth.
“As soon as they see you do it, then they change something, and then you kind of adjust to what they’ve changed. Then all of a sudden this scene, which might have been one way last week, is entirely different and so much more powerful this week. Then next week it’s gonna be different as well. Then you keep going through that process of just small little tweaks or big major changes until you get to performances, then once you get there you have explored so many layers of the show and so many layers of the characters, that you understand them fundamentally. So when the audience comes in they see a polished version of those very rough characters.”
The show is at Summerset Winery, debuting this weekend with Friday and Saturday performances at 7pm, and Sunday at 2pm.
