team-6

With a perceived three starters back for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad next year, the cupboard will not bare, but scoring will have to increase from everyone. 2nd leading scorer Brittany Bacorn, who averaged 15.1 points per game will graduate this May. Coach Matt Ritchhart tells KNIA/KRLS Sports everyone will need to up their scoring a bit to keep pace starting with leading scorer Hannah Dunkin.

Ritchhart: “I can see her being a 20-25 points per game scorer, she’s a great free throw shooter so that adds points. Abbie needs to go from 7 to 12 per game and she’s a natural distributor, and Addi can go from 4 to 12 points per game. Plus what is your role? When we ask you to fill a role do it to the best of your ability and we should be fine.”

Dunkin averaged a team leading 15.9 points per game this season. Knoxville finished 11-11 this season. Listen for a full interview with Ritchhart on Saturday’s Hy-Vee Radio Coaches Corner at 9:00am on KNIA/KRLS.
