The Indianola City Council approved the contract for the West Clinton Culvert Improvements Project at their meeting Monday, a project that will help with drainage near the west end of town. City Manager Ben Reeves this is an area of town that includes a lot of little bridges and offers a great landscape, but the drainage issues in that area require some work.

“When water needs to be conveyed during high peak water flow periods, we need to make sure the conveyance, or the culverts, that are put in place can handle the water flows that can potentially come over a 10-15 year storm. So this is a project that will improve the overall area, and make it so water flows properly and protects homes and property.”

To approved contract came in approximately $200,000 under the expected bid. To listen to the full interview, click below.
