A Knoxville man was arrested Friday for a bank robbery that took place in Delmar. 

According to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 12:25 pm Friday, Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Delmar branch of Clinton National Bank. Thirty-seven-year-old Jeffery Brian Bettis of Knoxville was then arrested and taken into custody. According to Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller, Bettis has no prior criminal history in the State of Iowa. 

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, DeWitt Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Clinton County Attorney’s Office.
