Local high school students will participate in the Iowa High School Speech Association State contests this Saturday. Students from Pella, Pella Christian, PCM, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars, and Melcher-Dallas that advanced from the district contest two weeks ago will compete at Cedar Rapids Xavier High School. Those that advance to the state contest from Norwalk, Southeast Warren, Carlisle, and Martensdale St. Mary’s will perform at ADM High School. The Iowa High School Speech Association State contests at Cedar Rapids Xavier and ADM this Saturday are scheduled to begin at 8 am.
