Highlighted by a fourth-place effort in the 4×800 relay, the Norwalk boys scored 10 points and finished 20th among Class 4A teams at the IATC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet was held Thursday at Iowa State University’s Lied Recreation Center.
The Warriors’ fourth-place 4×8 clocked a time of 8:06.73. Team members were Tony Anania, AJ Mosqueda, Grant Wallace and Henry Groos. Norwalk also scored points in the high jump as Logan Atherton cleared six feet, one inch for sixth place as well as the long jump on Kaiden Kunze’s mark of 20 feet, 7.25 inches.
Anania placed ninth in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:37.19, Teegan Kralik was 12th in the mile (4:34.01) and Wallace took 14th in the open 800 (2:02.21).
Ankeny won the 4A team title with 81 points and Dowling Catholic was second with 50.
