The Pella School Board reviewed the annual teacher salary settlement and established pay increases for staff at their meeting Thursday evening.
The board approved a 2.69% increase for teachers and a range of pay bumps for hourly staff. Additionally, the board tacked on additional vacation days for administrators, who were voted to have a pay freeze as part of the budget reduction process.
Also approved was participation in the Iowa Local Government Risk Pool for natural gas costs and the establishment of a new enterprise fund to include child care activities for the district, as authorized by Iowa Code.
