Work on the west alley and parking lot on the downtown Indianola square begins this week, and will be closed to the public to continue the Downtown Square Reconstruction Project. The project includes IMU finishing the placement of a conduit for future undergrounding of the current overhead electrical lines, and natural gas services will be relocated by MidAmerican. Once the utilities work is complete, repaving of the two areas will begin.

It is anticipated that all work will be completed, and the west alley and parking lot reopened to the public, by early-to-mid July. The west alley and parking lot will be closed beginning Wednesday, March 13th.
