The Pella Christian track and field teams are less than two weeks away from kicking off the spring season.

The Eagles will kick off the year at different sites on Tuesday, March 26th, with the boys squad hosting the Pella Christian Early Bird meet and the girls traveling to the Davis County meet. P.C. will compete in twelve regular season competitions ahead of the State Qualifying meet on May 9th, with the boys and girls running at the same site for eight of them. Eagles head coach Keith Anderson says that the team will see a wide variety of competition this season, which will benefit them later in the year.

“We’ve got our big squads that we know we’re gonna see where we’re gonna run into Pella, Oskaloosa, and Newton. But then we also, and that’s the beauty of track, get to have some meets against some schools that are our size. Heading over to North Mahaska for a coed, down to Eddyville, so just some schools around that are our size where I really feel like we can compete and do well at. And that’s a good measuring stick for us as we had through this season and prepare for State Qualifying and then ultimately the State Meet in May.”

Both the Pella Christian Early Bird and Davis County meets for the Eagles boys and girls on March 26th are slated to begin at 4:30 pm.
