A group raising funds for renovations to the Pella Community Center is hosting an event soon to help garner support for the upcoming project aiming to revitalize the facility near downtown Pella.
The Heart of Pella Open House will be held on Saturday, March 23rd from 10 a.m. to noon in the Pella Community Center. A brief informational program is scheduled at 10:30 that morning, and the two-hour event includes facility tours and the premiere of a documentary about the building by Pella Fiber. The community is invited to attend.
The Friends of the Pella Community Center are aiming to raise funds to add to $5.5 million committed by the Pella City Council to make needed repairs and upgrades to the space that houses various programs for the City of Pella, Union Street Players, and Crossroads of Pella, among other groups.
