The Twin Cedars Boys Track and Field Squad had its first outing of the season on Thursday and had several good results. The Sabers were able to get 1st place at the Pekin Indoor Meet from Noah Fee in the long jump. Also a 2nd and 4th place respectively from Wyatt Findley and Brian Garrett in the shot put, and the 4×800 finished 3rd. While it was a meet to get a baseline for times and distances, Coach Theresa Davis tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she was happy with how the meet went for her team.
Davis: “This was not a typical meet they have events that we don’t regularly see in a track meet, but we just had some kids in events to see how well they would do and I was pleased,”
The Sabers will get underway with the outdoor regular season on March 28th at Belle Plaine.
