Despite receiving much needed rainfall last week, drought conditions remained unchanged in Marion and Warren Counties in the latest weekly update. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor Report, all of Marion and Warren Counties continue to face severe drought conditions. All of Clarke, Madison, Mahaska, Jasper, and Polk Counties and the majority of Lucas and Monroe counties also continue to face severe drought conditions. According to the National Weather Service, chances for precipitation are forecast throughout the weekend and into Monday, before dry conditions return in the middle of next week.
