For 16 Norwalk High School boys soccer players, Spring Break 2024 won’t soon be forgotten. The Warrior student-athletes took a trip to Italy from March 9-17, accompanied by coaches Dustin Kralik and Tom Scallon, as well as 19 family members.
The Norwalk players competed in local matches, participated in a pro coaching clinic, attended two professional games and explored the historic wonders and sites of Rome, Milan and Florence.
Coach Kralik calls the trip an unforgettable adventure and team bonding experience that blended sportsmanship and cultural immersion.
“This had been something on my mind to try for many years,” Kralik said. “It was a great team bonding opportunity to be immersed in a different soccer culture, to experience some history together and just get to see the world.”
SEASON STARTS THIS WEEK
The Warrior boys soccer team, which finished as last year’s Class 3A state runner-up, is scheduled to open the season on Tuesday night at Dowling Catholic. The Norwalk girls soccer team opens their regular season tonight at ADM High School in Adel.
