The Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad opened up the 2024 season with a 3-0 loss to Southeast Polk on Monday night. The Rams scored a goal in the 1st half and then added two more in the 2nd half to put the match out of reach. Knoxville allowed 13 shots on goal. Coach Dylan Mick told KNIA/KRLS Sports while the Rams size and speed eventually wore on his team, their skill kept them in it. Goalkeeper Carson Cecil had eight saves. The Panthers are coming off of a 9-7 campaign last season and bring back six seniors this season. Knoxville is 0-1 on to start off and will travel to Carlisle on Thursday.
