The Knoxville School Board met in regular session Monday night.

The board approved conveyance of four different real estate parcels, including the site of the former Knoxville Middle School to be given over to the city for the future public safety/city hall facility. Mayor Brian Hatch thanked the board for their partnership with the city to make this land transfer happen. The board then approved the Knoxville Education Association/KCSD contracts, set two certified budget process public hearings, and a public hearing for modifications to the 2024-2025 school calendar. The meeting concluded with a lengthy discussion between the board and an area resident regarding usage of Ken Locke Stadium for a professional wrestling show during RAGBRAI’s overnight stop in Knoxville. The board gave the go ahead of part of the property to be used for the show.
