Indianola Parks and Rec is looking ahead to warmer weather this summer, and preparing for the annual opening of the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News lifeguards and other pool staff for the summer are a good job for students, and they are looking for applicants.

“At the aquatic center we are getting ready for opening day, which is June 1st. Meantime we are interviewing and hiring staff, and we do still have openings available. You can check that out at the city website.”

Kester also said they are currently selling pool passes, which are 20% off through the end of April.
