Each year during Tulip Time, thousands of visitors travel to Pella to take part in the festivities. To keep them safe, Billie Rhamy with the Steering Committee says barricades are located around the downtown area to restrict vehicle traffic.

To support the three days of Tulip Time, they need a total 180 people to work the barricades, and slots are still available to fill for the 89th celebration.

Workers would need to fill a 3-hour slot at their assigned barricade. Each 3-hour shift pays $30. Individuals may choose to donate their earnings to charity if they would prefer to volunteer.

Those who have a group that could use this for fundraising. This could include school teams, clubs, mission trips, work or family groups, or other charitable efforts.
