An open house was held Thursday by Origin Homes in Knoxville’s new Veterans District.
This was an opportunity for the community to come out and receive a tour of the five new homes recently built by Origin at the site of the former VA Campus. Several are close to being completed, and the others should be finished in the next couple months. Two of the five homes are already sold and the West Des Moines based company is hopeful to continue its partnership with the Knoxville community in the future. Origin Homes Director of Operations Matt Daniels says he is thankful for Origin’s collaboration with the City of Knoxville, and he is excited that their first home in the Veterans District is almost complete.
“For team Origin it’s been not a long road but a fun road. To see the hard work we’ve put in working with the city collectively and to be a part of something that is a lot bigger than one house. It’s fun to celebrate that first house almost to the finish line, and that second one almost there too, and just starting to see what this will look like and what it will be for the City of Knoxville.”
The homes are roughly 1,340 square feet with two bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
