Pella Soccer Team Finds Pair of Second Half Goals for First Win
In a game they largely controlled, it took a few breakout scoring chances for the Dutch to find their first win, defeating Winterset 2-0 Thursday evening. Austin Bone was able to find the net with a close-range header in the 58th minute. That was followed up by the first career varsity goal by freshman Chase Hamilton with just over four minutes remaining to seal the victory. Pella’s boys are 1-1 and off until they kick off conference play at Norwalk Tuesday.

Pella Girls Golf Team Opens with Quad Win in Lynnville

The Pella Girls Golf Team had their first win of the season against Lynnville-Sully, PCM, and Eddyville Blakesburg on Thursday. The Dutch shot a 190 as a team. Leading scores were meet medalist Karsyn Lyons (39), runner-up Sophia Reynolds (45), Emerson Lee (51), and Carlyn Henry (55). Pella is off until they head to Newton for a conference quad meet next Thursday, April 4th.

Dutch Boys Track and Field Team Starts Outdoor Season in Waukee Early Bird
Pella’s Class 3A state track and field title defense officially began at the Waukee Early Bird Invitational. No team scores were kept as the Dutch faced seven Class 4A teams.
