The Melcher-Dallas Track and Field Squads finally get the seasons going Monday at Meskwaki Settlement. Both teams will look for a few individual medals, however for the girls Coach Amy Stuart tells KNIA Sports she has a few options this year in the relays that she may not have had in past seasons.

Stuart: “Paetyn Anderson, Karsyn Mateer a senior, we also have Saydi Benz is back, she got injured just before the season last year. We also have Trista Hansacker who has a lot of speed, so I’m excited to see what we can do there.”

The boys will go for more individual achievements this season knowing they do not have the numbers to compete for a team championship in most meets. Field events are set to get underway at 4:15.
