The City of Indianola will hold their Maximum Property Tax Hearing this evening, proposing a max amount of the property tax levy at $14.65 per $1,000 in valuation. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News that is only the maximum, not the actual levy, and the council can decide to go lower than the proposed rate but not raise it.

The Maximum Property Tax Hearing will be at 7pm, with the overall budget hearing coming on April 22nd.
