The Knoxville City Council met in a special and regular session on Monday.
The special session consisted of a public hearing regarding the fiscal year 2025 budget. In the regular session, the council approved a resolution for an application from Weiler to the Iowa Economic Development Authority High Quality Jobs Program, held two public hearings regarding the Library Park Project and disposal of an interest in real property, and approved both action items. The council then approved a resolution for a development agreement between the city and Overland Land Group LLC for a senior housing development in the Veterans District. The meeting concluded with approving the real estate gift agreement between the city and KCSD, and a VA development update was given by Economic Development Director Glenn Lyons.
