Four Pella High School students recently traveled to Space Center Houston to compete with other students from Iowa and Texas in the NASA Space Settlement Design Competition. Lorien McClure, Owen McCracken, Kaysar Lines, and Jack Weaver participated in the competition under the supervision of Erin Yoder-Funk, a science teacher at Pella High School. Kaysar was a pivotal member of the winning team, earning a spot in the international competition in July as well as the Norm Chaffee Leadership award. Lorien was honored with the Dick Edward Leadership award.
