Knoxville Senior Connor Willis has decided to continue his soccer playing career at the college level by playing for Iowa Western Community College. Willis started all 16 matches last season and has played in two of the three matches in 2024. Willis tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he wanted to go the community college route all along and felt Iowa Western, which was a late visit in his process, was the place where he belonged.
Willis: “It never hurts to go check it out, it’s not a day trip and not far away. I was in contact with the coaches before I got there. I’ve heard the saying that you find your place from the moment you step on campus and that was what Iowa Western was for me.”
The Reivers won the National Junior College Division Two National title in 2021. Willis has also been involved in football and basketball during his high school career. Listen for a full interview of Connor Willis Today’s Lely Radio Sports on Thursday on KNIA/KRLS.
