A pair of first-half goals were enough for the Norwalk boys soccer team on Tuesday night as the Warriors blanked Pella 2-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference opener for both teams.
Norwalk scored early on Teegan Kralik’s breakaway goal, assisted by Keilor Rodman. Later in the first half, Caden Endres put in a header off Grant Fletcher’s corner kick to cap the scoring.
The match featured five total shots on goal, including just one for the visiting Dutch. Warrior sophomore goalie Jacoby Robbins notched his second consecutive shutout as the team improved to 2-1 overall. Norwalk coach Dustin Kralik also cited Endres, Jonah Sandhoff and Jace Davis for excellent work on defense.
The Warriors will continue a nice homestand this weekend, hosting Spencer on Friday night and Denison-Schleswig on Saturday morning. Pella, now 1-2 overall, returns to action Friday night for a home game against Carlisle.
