100+ Men Red Rock presented a check donation for just over $4,000 to the Marion County Humane Society on Thursday.
The humane society is a no-kill shelter that serves as an animal advocate and provides support to animals and their families in Marion County and beyond. Its mission is to humanely care for homeless pets, return them to their current owners, or adopt them to new loving homes. Manager Leslie VanderLinden says that the funds from the donation will help pay for veterinary bills.
“We have one particular dog that’s got some health issues that may get to be pretty expensive, we’re not sure yet, and if they do, we will use this money towards her. Otherwise it will go to spay and neuters and whatever we need within the Humane Society for animals vet care.”
