Indianola students not only got to view the eclipse, but were given perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete during one, as the Indianola girls tennis team matchup up with Urbandale as the eclipse was happening. Seniors Keely Gruebel and Audra Dowler tell KNIA News it was definitely a special experience to be competing during the event.

“I ran and got my glasses to go take a look, and it was pretty awesome. A great experience to play into it, and great weather.”

Audra
“I got a little scared to look up at the sun when I was serving. Then it got really dark out, so that was cool.”
