The Indianola School Board met in regular session Monday evening, appointing newly hired School Business Official Chad Vink as the Board Secretary/Treasurer.

The board approved the FY25 budget, setting a Property Tax Levy Rate of $17.92814 per $1,000 of valuation.

The board approved the 2024-25 Elementary Student and Certified Staff and Association Handbooks, traditional and year-round 2024-25 school calendars in a 5-1 vote with Eric Christensen voting against, $15 million in general obligation bonds, and contractor quotes for the District Operations Building and Indianola High School, and heard reports from the board Finance, Facilities, Technology, Human Resources, and Policy Committee meetings.
