Knoxville Girls Golf Squad Opens Season With A Triangular Win
The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad finally got their season underway after a couple of postponements and took full advantage playing at Pine Knolls shooting a 196 to beat Clarke and Chariton in a triangular. The Panthers were four shots better than the Indians at 200 and Chariton scored a 238. Faith Roozeboom was meet medalist with a 41. She told KNIA/KRLS Sports it was good to get a competitive meet on a nice day.
Roozeboom: “It felt good and the last couple of meets were canceled because it was too cold so I’m glad we got to play today and at home.”
The Panthers continue a busy week with a meet at Centerville today, at Moravia on Thursday and another triangular on Friday.

Knoxville Boys Tennis Falls To Indianola
The Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad ran into Indianola and fell to the Indians 9-0. Coach Kevin Wadle told KNIA/KRLS sports it was just a tough night all the way around for his team. Indianola swept the singles matches in straight sets, however Knoxville’s Talon Brown won five total games during his match. The Panthers travel to Clarke on Thursday.

Knoxville Girls Soccer Falls To Grandview Christian
The Knoxville Girls Soccer Squad put up goals, but still fell short to Grandview Christian 5-4 on Monday. Coach Bethany Johnson told KNIA/KRLS Sports her team played very well and was proud of their effort. Charlye Willis had two goals while Natalie Irving and Remy Vasquez-Smith also scored goals. Knoxville is now 1-4 and will travel to Oskaloosa on Friday.
