Multiple camping sites around Marion County will be reopening for the season on Friday.
The campgrounds at Marion County Park and at Roberts Creek Park East and West will open back up at 8 am on Friday. Additionally, portions of Cordova Park that were closed during the winter months will also be reopening on Friday morning. Marion County Naturalist Marla Mertz says that all facilities at these parks will be in operation when the parks reopen on Friday.
“With the nice weather that we’ve had, all the facilities will be open such as the shower buildings and the things that you will need for water and so on. So everything will be set and ready to go. And if you need to make reservations, you can always get a hold of mycountyparks.com, that is a reservation system for Marion County. And if you have questions or aren’t able to do that, feel free to just give us a call here at Cordova Park.”
