Short Years Partnership in Indianola is holding a hot air balloon raffle fundraiser in honor of Child Abuse Prevention month in April. Program Manager Erin Paugh tells KNIA News Short Years Partnership is a non–profit that provides family support and parenting education services and programs, including the Parents as Teachers Program and a local diaper bank to assist parents, and the funds raised from the raffle will go towards not only their programs, but to help raise awareness for child abuse prevention.

“We’re calling it Balloons for Brighter Futures. We are raffling off a chance to win a hot air balloon ride for two. We are starting tickets at $5, and you can get five tickets for $20. All funds raised will go towards child abuse prevention programs in Warren County, and that includes the diaper bank.”

The raffle fundraiser runs through the month of April with the winners announced at the end. To listen to the full interview, or find more information about Short Years Partnership, click below.
