The Simpson baseball team defeated Loras to kick off a three-game series Friday evening 8-3. The Storm scored four runs on three singles in the fourth as well as three runs on three straight doubles in the eighth, and got stellar pitching from Trey Castile on the mound striking out six, and became the program’s all-time strikeout leader passing former teammate Brady Held. The Storm are now 12-16 on the season and have improved to 5-8 in conference play, and continue the series with a doubleheader today.
