The City of Knoxville is continuing to look for volunteers to help with RAGBRAI’s overnight stop in Knoxville on July 24th.
The city needs help to make the event a success for the community. Whether someone is passionate about hospitality, logistics, entertainment, or simply wanting to be a part of all the action, there is a role available. Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery says volunteers are crucial for this event and they’ve had many people interested so far.
“It is very important to make sure we have several volunteers, enough volunteers, and different volunteers so we’re not wearing out the same people over and over for these big events. I think there are approximately 80 volunteers that are already signed up to volunteer for RAGBRAI. Talking with the RAGBRAI staff they said it is huge for us to have that many people interested in being involved, and helping with it already. We are very happy with that and are excited people are ready to support those events, and planning for them, and overall its success for the community.”
