The Knoxville City Council approved the Fiscal Year 2025 budget at their meeting Monday night.

There was a public hearing at the meeting and then the council unanimously approved the FY25 budget. This is a balanced budget, according to Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery. Ussery says a lot of work goes into the process.

“The City starts this process back in October, early November with department heads, reviewing their budgets, and their proposals for the upcoming year, and then we move forward in January with presentations to council from each department.”
