A grand opening will happen Saturday for Spire Drink Company in Knoxville.

The new drink shop is located at 101 E Marion St. and Co-Founders Nicolas and Danielle Lirio have worked on construction of their business since November. Nicolas who is originally from Iowa and Danielle who is from Ohio met at Bible college in Redding, CA, and Nicolas said he felt called to Knoxville. When they first came to Knoxville they started flipping houses and then decided to open their own business after finding a property that best suited their needs. 

The drink shop will provide a large variety of coffees, teas, and sodas. The Lirios say that what is really important to them is providing the best quality of product. Nicolas says he wants Spire to be an atmosphere where people can feel comfortable hanging out for long periods of time, and for the Knoxville community to make it their “third place”.

“There is the phrase third place right? You have your home, you have work or school, and you’ve got one other go to place. We felt like there were a lot of people searching for that, so we were just trying to fill a need that we felt like Knoxville had.”
