indianola-8

As the spring sports season begins to see the back half of the schedule, it remains a busy week for all Indianola spring sports teams.

The Indianola girls golf team has a busy week, with a meet at Veenker Golf Course in Ames on Monday, then the second of two Little Hawkeye Conference meets on Tuesday at the Pella Country Club. The Indians were victorious in the first LHC meet earlier this spring.

The Indianola girls tennis team has a conference heavy week, matching up with Newton on Monday, Pella Christian on Wednesday, and Dallas Center-Grimes on Thursday. The boys will step out of conference action for one contest, but still match up with Newton on Monday, North Polk on Tuesday, then Dallas Center-Grimes on Thursday.

Both the soccer teams have a pair of matches this week on Tuesday and Thursday. Both teams will match up with Pella Christian on Tuesday, the girls on the road and the boys at home, however they will split up for the Thursday non-conference games. The girls host the Railsplitters of Des Moines Lincoln, while the boys have a tough road matchup at Waukee.

The track and field teams will each have one last warmup meet before the Drake Relays next weekend. The girls will send athletes to Saydel on Monday, and the boys don’t have far to travel to as they stay in the county at Carlisle on Tuesday.
