An active weather weekend is setting up across south central Iowa. According to the National Weather Service, multiple chances for thunderstorms are expected beginning early Friday and continuing through Sunday evening. Within those exists the possibility of severe conditions, including large hail, damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, and localized flooding. Depending on the number of storms and timing, most of the region should expect at least an inch of rainfall by early Monday morning, and closer to two-to-three inches possible in many communities. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air with live coverage of any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning impacting Marion and Warren Counties.
