The Eagles will compete for the third time this week on Saturday, making the short trip across town to take part in the Pella Girls Tennis Invitational at 9 am.

Pella Christian Track and Field Boys Soccer Teams Competing Today

After getting Wednesday to rest up, the Pella Christian track and field and boys soccer teams return to action tonight.

The Eagles track and field teams will compete on Eagle Lane for the second time this spring, as Pella will host the Tulip Time Relays at PC Stadium due to construction at Pella High School. The Pella Christian boys are coming off their first team title of the season, having won the Rocket Relays at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Tuesday night. The Eagle girls also competed on Tuesday, finishing third in Class AA at Chariton’s Charger Relays.

Returning to the pitch tonight, the Pella Christian boys soccer squad will look to end a four-game losing skid against Sigourney-Keota. The Eagles and Cobras have met each of the last two seasons, with Pella Christian claiming both meetings by a combined score of 13-1. Sigourney Keota has dropped their last five games after opening the season 1-1, losing those matches by a combined 36-1. The Eagles, who started the season 3-1, dropped to 3-5 on the season with a 3-1 road loss at Indianola Tuesday night.

Pella Christian’s track and field teams will compete in Pella’s Tulip Time Relays at PC Stadium at 4:30 pm, while the boys soccer team’s match at Sigourney High School is set to begin at 5:30 pm.
