While it seems once again many local communities were spared the worst of the recent severe weather events, another set of warnings prompted live, on-air coverage Tuesday evening. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air from approximately 6 to 7:30 p.m. for several warnings in both Marion and Warren Counties. The primary threat was large hail. Several tornado warnings and golf ball sized hail were reported primarily to the south. A total of seven staff members joined live coverage, which included frequent updates from Weatherology Meteorologists and the National Weather Service. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team is on the air for any severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for Marion and Warren Counties.
