Boys Soccer Gets Late Goal To Beat Chariton
In a contentious and sometimes physical match, the Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad pulled out a 2-1 victory over Chariton on Monday. The Chargers scored first 4:00 in but Knoxville held Chariton scoreless the rest of the way getting a goal in the 35th minute from Jensen Finnegan. ,then Kaison Wilder got the game winner in the 79th minute. Coach Dylan Mick tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the substates will be announced soon, and this week is big for his team.
Mick: If we can take care of business we’ll be in a spot we need to be in and get at least a 2 seed and a home game in the substate. If our offense is any indication of where it should be then we’ll be in a good spot for the postseason.”
Weather pending, Knoxville will host Perry, a match that if Knoxville can get a win, will go a long way to postseason seeding.
